Stockmon is basically three programs in one.

Research

The opening screen, ‘Research’, allows you to open up ( all within the program, not as external sessions ) up to 30 browser windows, each of which points to a URL that was specified under ‘Configuration’.

Each Research URL that was specified under ‘Configuration’ as accepting a stock symbol will automatically open up to the current symbol you enter. URLs that do not accept stock symbols will open up to their specified default pages.

The benefits and reasons for this include :

Typically, when researching a stock, every investor or trader has a ‘personal favorite collection’ of Internet resources that he/she uses. This usually requires going back and forth between URL links, entering a symbol into each one each time, etc. By entering a stock symbol once in StockMon, a pre-configured set of URLs will be loaded to personal preference.

Once the URLs are loaded ( the time this takes will depend on the speed of your Internet connection, and the response times of the sites you chose, neither of which I can control ), you can switch between them by clicking on the buttons at the top of the page. Clicking on these buttons instantly brings up the pre-loaded page you chose to associate with it, allowing much greater speed in cross-referencing resources. The pages are already loaded, and thus much faster.

Each research browser window is a fully functional Internet browser in and of itself, with typical ‘Forward / Back / Save / Print / etc’ functions available under the right mouse button.
