GridTracker allows automatic updating of the intra-day performance of up to 50 stocks. Percentage of movement is highlighted by the back-color of the bars.

Clicking on any line of the grid opens up Yahoo News for that stock.

The left hand side of the grid tracks the intra-day performance of the stocks you entered on the Configuration screen. For those stocks where you entered a quantity and a cost, GridTracker also tracks the gain / loss.

Color coding allows easy recognition of changes:

White means no change

Light red means 1 to –10 % change

Dark red means –10 or greater %

Light green means 1 to 10 % change

Bright green means 10 % or greater change

The ‘Next’ box is usually white while it counts down the seconds to the next update. If an update request is not satisfied within 10 seconds, it will turn red to notify you that the grid may be out of date. One common cause of this would be if you are off line.

When the GridTracker is minimized to an icon, the icon will reflect today’s gain / loss percentage, and will continue to update on the polling interval even if the program is always minimized to an icon. This gives the user a constant ‘gross portfolio performance’ indicator in the Windows taskbar.

The various boxes across the top of the screen indicate both gross portfolio performance, and today’s performance changes, both in dollars and in percentages.
